Update from Session and Pastor Roger

As some of you know, Westminster leadership has been monitoring updates to the COVID-19 virus and considering ways to resume limited in-person worship at some point, that complies with ongoing health recommendations. This week, Session met for its regular monthly meeting and agreed on the following information.

Online Services Will Continue

Westminster Presbyterian will continue to provide worship and ministry through on-line means indefinitely. These recordings have been well-received and provide an option for those members who prefer to worship at home and in their own time frame.

In-Person Worship

There is no date yet for resuming in-person worship. Church leadership and staff continue to monitor national, state, and local information. The congregation will be informed, in advance, by e-mail and Westminster’s website when in-person worship will resume.

Once in-person worship re-starts, there will likely be restrictions depending on the status of the virus at that time. An ad hoc committee of church leaders is working on recommendations and will update everybody when the time gets closer and we have more definitive information.

In the meantime, we wish everyone good health and keep in good spirits.

Getting the Art Room Ready

Many have asked, “What kind of art supplies are you seeking to have donated for the new Art Room?” (Located in the Old Kid’s Closet). The following is not an exhausting list at all, but at least a few items:

drawing pencils
watercolor pencils
pastel pencils
permanent ink drawing pens of various sizes
calligraphy pens
pastels and oil pastels
brushes, paints, and paper/canvases for
stamps and ink
pottery tools

Also if you know artists that might have any of these setting around the house/studio and no longer using them, let them know, and see if they may wish to donate any of the above, or other art items as well.

Further if there are potters who you know that are no longer using a wheel and would be willing to lend one for use, contact us.
If you would prefer to donate money toward the completion of it, simply make a check out to Westminster and put Art Room on the memo. Thanks!
