World War II Honor Roll Re-Dedication

Westminster Presbyterian Church re-dedicated a recently recovered World War II Honor Roll during a service May 27 in the Large Parlor where the roll will have a new home. It was discovered while rooms were being cleaned out for office space for the Presbytery of East Iowa. World War II veteran, Ted Kahler made a few repairs to the plaque. He and fellow WW II veteran, Luman Colton were interviewed by local media for a Memorial Day feature. The service included the scripture from Revelation that was read at the 1946 service honoring those who served and those who made the ultimate sacrifice.

Ruling Elder Jan Kosowski shares the Honor Roll's history.

WW II veteran, Luman Colton, talks with Gazette report, Marissa Payne about his WW II experiences and memories.

WW II veteran, Ted Kahler, was interviewed by  Jordee Kalk of KCRG-TV 9 news.

After the service, a number of people took a closer look at the list of names.

Ted Kahler and Luman Colton share a salute as they remember those with whom they served.
